This is such a cute champagne bucket! Made in France in black bakelite it has a tiered base and moulded rectangular tiered mock handles. The front has an oblong cushion shaped gilded edged cartouche containing gilt lettering "Champagne Henriot Maison Fondee en 1808 Reims". The base is stamped "Made in France" and was probably originally produced as a souvenir or advertising item. Champagne/ice buckets make great containers for orchids when not containing a champagne or wine bottle!
